Car Washer Accused Of Stealing A Motorbike, Even Though He Was Chasing A Thief Who Took His Cellphone

JAKARTA - A man named Ridho had to experience a bitter pill. The reason is, after his cellphone was lost and wanted to chase the perpetrator, he was arrested by residents and beaten, accused of motorcycle thieves (Curanmor).

Kebayoran Baru Police Chief, Kompol Tribuana Roseno confirmed the incident. The incident occurred at Jalan Haji Jian 2b Cipete Utara, Kebayoran Baru, Tuesday, July 25, yesterday.

He explained that the incident started when the victim was trying to chase two perpetrators who were suspected of stealing his cellphone. During the pursuit, Ridho, who was using a wheeled vehicle, was arrested by residents for being accused of stealing a motorcycle.

The victim on behalf of Ridho can be seen from the CCTV footage running after two perpetrators who used a Honda Scoopy motorbike. Because the residents initially had not seen CCTV. Residents who arrested the victim named Ridho, "said Tribuana when confirmed, Wednesday, July 26.

Ridho tried to explain, but residents did not believe him. He was immediately judged by the residents until he suffered head injuries.

"Residents interrogated and beat Ridho," he said.

Luckily, the beating was resolved after members of Bhabinkamtibmas came to the scene.

"Then Bhabinkamtibmas secured it to North Cipete Village to provide first aid and take the victim to his workplace in the car's wash," he concluded.
