Noise IDR 162 Billion Prize At LHKPN, Menpora Dito: There Are Assets Given By In-laws To My Wife Before Marriage

JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo explained that his mistakes regarding the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) worth Rp162 billion were included in the status of 'gifts'.

Dito explained that the mistake regarding his LHKPN occurred because of different definitions regarding grants and gifts previously given by his in-laws to his wife before marriage.

"So there were indeed several assets given by my father-in-law to my wife, before we got married. At that time we discussed that grants had to change names. The definition of prizes from the KPK was given to state officials who received awards or door prizes. Meanwhile, my definition was not like that. After investigating it turned out that it was suitable (My LHKPN) grants without a deed," said Menpora Dito after a press conference with Deputy Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Pahala Nainggolan at the Media Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday 25 July.

Previously, in the LHKPN reported to the KPK, Menpora Dito's assets reached Rp282 billion, of which five assets came from prizes totaling Rp162 billion.

Dito said that all LHKPN reports from the Ministry of Youth and Sports went smoothly, except for himself because there were problems with different definitions.

"Reports from the Ministry of Youth and Sports related to LHKPN are all smooth, except for me because yesterday there was a matter of definition of meaning. Pak Hala also said that this was the first time this had happened," said Dito, quoted by Antara.

Dito said he had made a revision regarding his LHKPN and apologized for the mistakes that caused public noise.

"We have revised (LHKPN) and I apologize too. This has caused a commotion in the public. In principle, since becoming a minister, I will maintain integrity, accountability, and transparency," said Dito.

Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Pahala Nainggolan said LHKPN from Menpora Dito was included in the clarification stage because there was a mismatch in reporting.

"So this Minister (Dito) LHKPN is included in the name of clarification. Throughout the history of the KPK, no one has reported a prize of this size. We provide the prize column if state officials get lottery prizes, awards or what," said Pahala.
