Residents Of Petamburan Rusunami Difficulty With Clean Water, Routinely Paying But Often Damaged

JAKARTA - Residents of Rusunami Petamburan, Central Jakarta, experienced a clean water crisis for 3 months. This is because the water pump engine was completely damaged to death.

"We once lacked water, we died completely. If I'm not mistaken, we are short of water for about 3 months," said Head of RT 09/RW 11, Yeni to reporters, Tuesday, July 25.

Yeni has lived in Rusunami Petamburan for 20 years. However, when he experienced a water crisis, he could not do much when looking for clean water.

"(water pam) sometimes dies. There is our water machine but it is damaged. Residents pay in an orderly manner (water) but sometimes (always) it is damaged," he said.

Currently, residents of Rusunami Petamburan are starting to get clean water after receiving assistance from a clean water pump from the government. A number of residents of Rusunami queued in front of the water tap that was flowing heavily. Each of them brought a bucket in his hand.

"We ask Mr. RW to do it for the water of the people of the flats. Thank God it has now been realized," he said.

When the water engine in Rusunami died, residents only got 3 units of clean water from the tank car per day.

"Every day in a row for one week. The process of bringing water is a little tired, because it is climbing up. Here there are 12 blocks consisting of 2 RTs per block," he said.
