Just Do Clarification, KPK Will Not Check Menpora Dito's Assets

JAKARTA - Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Pahala Nainggolan said the clarification of the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) of the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo was sufficient. His party will not carry out further investigations.

"I think it is quite clear that we are not included in the LHKPN examination. We have not yet entered," Pahala told reporters at the Kemenpora Office in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 25.

"There is no strong reason from me to go there (ongoing examination, ed)," he continued.

Pahala said that the spotlight on assets with a prize status of Rp. 162 at the Dito LHKPN also did not need to be extended. After all, he has agreed to revise the true assets into the category as grants without a deed.

"It's allowed. Only changing the category, all those who enter the prize category will be changed to a grant without a deed," he said.

Furthermore, Pahala believed that from the start Dito's report was wrong. This is because the fantastic value of assets is a gift from Dito's father-in-law to his wife.

So, he chose to contact Dito to clarify. "I communicated. That's called the clarification process. We got how many, the year the acquisition, the letter whose name is clarification," explained Pahala.

Previously, Dito had apologized because the LHKPN he conveyed caused a public furore. According to him, this polemic occurred because he did not understand the difference in gift status and grants.

"I also want to apologize (LHKPN, ed) for this commotion in the public," said Dito after holding a meeting with the KPK to discuss preventing corruption at the Kemenpora Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 25.

He explained that the filling of the status of the prize at the LHKPN was because the attached assets were gifts from his in-laws to his wife. "We should consult before filling it in with the KPK because this is limited to us being confused about being defined," said Dito.

Dito reported his wealth to the KPK on July 12 after he was appointed as Minister of Youth and Sports replacing Zainudin Amali. He has a total assets of IDR 282,265,579,658.

Of that number, there are five assets in the form of four houses and one car with the status of a prize. The total value reached Rp162 billion.
