Dr. Moeldoko Successfully Helps Mediation, PLTSa Putri Cempo Solo In One Hour

Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko, chaired the PLTSa Putri Cempo's Solo City optimization meeting, at the Bina Graha building, Monday, July 24.

Jakarta Less than an hour, Dr. Moeldoko, the Presidential Chief of Staff, has resolved the problem of the Putri Cempo Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) in Solo City. The issue is related to the issuance of Operational Implementation Letters (SLO), and the provision of lanes for the traffic of the garbage truck fleet.

The resolution of the PLTSa Putri Cempo Solo problem was held in a coordination meeting between the Presidential Staff Office and the Ministry of LHK, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of PUPR, the Solo City Government, and PT SCMPP as investors, at the Bina Graha building in Jakarta, Monday, July 24. This meeting followed up on the working visit of the Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko, to PLTSa Putri Cempo, on July 15, 2023.

After the meeting, Moeldoko said, all parties had agreed to resolve the issue of the PLTSa Putri Cempo. Regarding the issuance of SLO, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is committed to immediately issuing a SLO if the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has issued emission test results, namely dioxin anduran.

He added that emission testing will be carried out only on one system unit, so it doesn't take long and a big cost. "At PLTSa Putri Cempo there are 20 units of the system. The way it works is all the same. So earlier the agreement, only one unit will be taken. It took 20 days to find out the results," explained Moeldoko. As soon as the results of the emission test came out, he continued, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources could immediately issue a SLO. Info from ESDM was issued by SLO for only 1 day," added Moeldoko.

As for the provision of lanes for the garbage truck traffic, explained Moeldoko, the Ministry of PUPR has agreed to build a road, along 250 meters. This has become an agreement and must be carried out. Don't be long-winded anymore because this is related to investment," said the Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko.

Previously on a working visit to PLTSa Putri Cempo, on July 15, 2023, the Presidential Chief of Staff, Dr. Moeldoko found that the construction process for the PLTSa Putri Cempo construction had reached 97.52 percent. However, the process of resolving it faces several problems. Namely, the issuance of SLO and the provision of land, especially for the traffic lanes of the garbage truck fleet.

At that time, Moeldoko promised to immediately help find a way out by inviting related ministries/agencies. KSP is committed to providing full support for the completion of the Solo City PLTSa Putri Cempo. Because this project is a serious concern of President Jokowi, and it is very important to help the waste management program, especially in urban areas," concluded Moeldoko.

For information, the government has issued Presidential Decree No. 35/2018 concerning the Acceleration of PLTSa Development in 12 cities experiencing waste emergency. Of the 12 cities, two have progressed their PLTSa, namely Surabaya and Surakarta.
