The Garut Police have alerted a number of personnel from the Samapta Unit to eradicate thugs who disturb the community.

He said the Garut Police had deployed a team from the ranks of the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Garut Police Samapta Unit to be ready to move to carry out patrols and take firm action against anyone who was reported or known to have committed acts of disturbing security and public order.
He explained that his members routinely raided thugs and then took them to the Garut Police Headquarters for examination, coaching, and urine tests to detect taking drugs or not.
He conveyed the results of the last raid on Thursday, July 20, the Garut Police secured 30 thugs from a number of places in the urban area of Garut, which had been reported by the public for disturbing such as drinking, bullying, and forcibly selling goods.

He conveyed that thugs who were drunk and positive for drugs were immediately handled by the Narcotics Unit to undergo further legal examination, while others were handed over to the Garut Civil Service Police Unit for minor crimes in accordance with regional regulations.
