The West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (West Sumatra) has finally executed two convicts in a corruption case in the procurement of the Padang-Sicincin toll road.
The two convicts who were executed by the Prosecutor's Office were Jumadi and Upik Suryati, with a background as employees of the West Sumatra National Land Agency (BPN).
"This execution was carried out based on the cassation decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia which found the two convicts guilty," said Head of the West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office Asnawi, in Padang as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 14.
He said the convicts who came with cooperatives were immediately thrown into prison to serve a sentence in accordance with the Supreme Court's decision of five years.
In addition to the prison sentence, the Supreme Court also sentenced the three to a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to six months in prison.

"As soon as possible we will execute other convicts in this case in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court, we ask the convicts to be cooperative and surrender themselves," he explained.

The suspects in the case amounted to 13 people, namely Syamsuardi, Buyung Kenek, Yuniswan, Khaidir, Sabri Yuliansyah, Raymon, Husen, Syamsul Bahri, Nazaruddin, Syafrizal, Upik Suyati, Riki Nofaldo, and Jumadil.
