JAKARTA - Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) or the BUMN Hospital Holding (RS) is currently carrying out the construction of the Bali International Hospital (BIH) in the Special Economic Zone (KEK) Health, Sanur, Bali. This hospital is targeted to start operating in 2024.

President Director of IHC drg. Mira Dyah Wahyuni, MARS said that currently the construction of BIH has reached 36.30 percent. The plan is for the IHC to top off the BIH at the end of July 2023.

"We will be selective in conducting credentials, we also carry out job training andfellowship for health workers who will serve in BIH, as an effort to improve competence by placing them in several hospitals such as Dharmais Hospital, Harapan Kita Hospital, and National Brain Center Hospital (PON), as well as placing several doctors in Singapore and Malaysia," he said.

Previously, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said that the IHC/Holding of BUMN hospitals played an important role in building the Indonesian health ecosystem.

With the presence of BIH in the Health SEZ in Sanur Bali, Erick also invited Diaspora abroad to return to Indonesia, which is currently 10 diaspora who have registered. According to him, this is part of an intervention effort for the presence of 2,000,000 Indonesians who continue to seek treatment abroad.
