Members Of The Night-Valvoline Motorcycle Gang In Purwakarta Arrested, Sharp Weapons Confiscated

PURWAKARTA - Purwakarta Regency Police, West Java, arrested six motorcycle gang members who were members of the Night Tourism and Valvoline motorcycle gangs.

"There are six arrested, and one other person is still being chased," said Purwakarta Police Chief AKBP Edwar Zulkarnain as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 12.

Six members of the motorcycle gang who were arrested were FRA (18), FAP (17), FNF (17), DA (19), A (21), and AH (20). The six motorcycle gang members who were arrested were residents of Jatiluhur District, Purwakarta.

They were arrested after assaulting a young man with the initials MK (16), a resident of Cipaisan Village, Purwakarta. In carrying out the action, the perpetrators used sharp weapons such as sickles and other types.

The persecution continued on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in Taman Katresna, Nagri Kidul Village, Purwakarta District/Regency.

Police arrested six groups of Night Tourism and Valvoline motorbikes, for beating a young man until he was injured.

"There were seven perpetrators, six people we managed to arrest, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in different locations. Meanwhile, another person is still being chased and we have pocketed his identity. Of the six perpetrators arrested, two of them are minors," he said.

To account for their actions, they are threatened with Article 80 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection and Article 170 paragraph (2) letter (2e) of the Criminal Code.

"The maximum penalty is nine years in prison," he said.
