The restrictions on transportation and travel have forced a sick resident in the border area between Indonesia and Malaysia to be carried on a stretcher to a clinic or health care center.

The sick resident was assisted by TNI soldiers from the Border Security Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) Yonarmed 16/TK from his home in Semanget Village, Entikong District, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan).

"The evacuation was carried out using a stretcher by traveling about three kilometers," said Company Commander (Danki) SSK III Balai Karangan Captain Arm Ervin Panji Gamaputera in Entikong, Sanggau, West Kalimantan, Friday, July 7, confiscated by Antara.

Ervin said that a resident who was evacuated was suspected of having blood clots in the brain, so he needed medical treatment.

According to him, the distance and transportation limitations are one of the obstacles in the evacuation process, so that Pamtas Task Force soldiers help residents in the evacuation process.

To get to the health care area, Ervin continued, officers had to travel 3 kilometers.

Ervin said that currently the residents are in the handling of local health workers. "We continue to strive to be present in the community to help ease the difficulties of the border community," he added.

He hopes that the Pamtas Task Force can always be close to the hearts of the people in realizing the unity of the TNI with the people.

"It is necessary to be concerned and sensitive in the community, to always do good and close to the community," said Ervin.

He also invited border communities to continue to help each other in every difficulty, have a social spirit, and increase the sense of unity and integrity.

"We are always ready when people need our help, because we know that conditions at the border are not like in urban areas, especially related to facilities and infrastructure," he said.
