The Sukabumi City Police have detained three youths at the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters to account for their actions as a result of carrying sharp weapons of the type of sickle used, not its designation.

"The three youths had the initials RH (20), A (22) and DS (20). They were arrested while hanging out at the Type A Terminal KH Ahmad Sanusi Sukabumi, Baros District, Sukabumi City. West Java on Monday, June 26 evening," said Sukabumi City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Yanto Sudiarto quoting Antara, Wednesday, June 28. Information gathered from the police, the arrest of the three suspected perpetrators of sharp weapons abusers began when the Sukabumi City Police Precision Patrol Team conducted a patrol on the South Ring Road of Sukabumi City which then saw dozens of young people hanging around the bus terminal. The officers then approached the group of youths to conduct an examination of the 12 young men and three of them were women. Suspected officers, then conducted a search and managed to find three sharp weapons of the type of sickle. With the discovery of the evidence, the 12 young people were immediately taken to the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters for questioning.

From the results of the examination, it was revealed that the owner of the cluster, namely RH, A and DS. Meanwhile, nine of his colleagues were released because they were not proven guilty, but still under the supervision of the police. Yunto said that for the purposes of investigation and development of this case, the three suspects were placed in the custody of the Sukabumi City Police Headquarters. As a result of their actions, the three youths are threatened with being behind bars for a maximum of 10 years according to Article 2 of the Indonesian Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning possession and use of sharp weapons, not its designation. "We ensure that the handling of cases of possession of sharp weapons that are not in accordance with their designation will be carried out professionally in accordance with standard operating procedures of the police," he added. Yunto said the firm action taken by his party was a manifestation of the Sukabumi City Police's commitment to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community.
