JAKARTA - The police arrested a man with the initials EP (29) who abused and smeared his girlfriend's face with dirt in the Fatmawati area, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The Head of Cilandak Police, Kompol Wahid Key, said that at that time the perpetrator who worked as a tattoo artist carried out his action on Sunday, June 18 morning at 07.00 WIB. "Not only being smeared, the victim was also forced to eat the dirt," Wahid told reporters in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, June 23. The incident began when EP was suspicious of his girlfriend who was suspected of having an affair and then came to his boarding house in the Fatmawati area, Cilandak, South Jakarta. Unexpectedly, he said, it was true that EP found another man in the room who immediately ran away as soon as the room opened. "EP felt hurt because all this time he paid for the monthly boarding fee and picked up his girlfriend at work," he said. After being beaten and smeared with dirt belonging to his girlfriend, the victim made a report to the Cilandak Police which was immediately followed up. The case was stated in the Police Report LP/B/436/B/VI/2023/SEK Cilandak/South Jakarta Metro Police/Polda Metro Jaya on Sunday (18/6).

The police arrested EP a few days after the report was made. For his actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code and 355 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of twelve years.
