Danlanud Silas Papare Papua Calls The Search For The Air Semuwa Plane Bringing 4 Passengers Still Being Carried Out

JAKARTA - Commander of the Air Force Base (Lanud) Silas Papare Marsma TNI M Dadan Gunawan said the search for the plane belonging to Semuwa Air with flight number PK-SMW was still ongoing.

The plane of the C208B caravan type lost contact on a flight from Elelim to Poik, Yalimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

"Currently, efforts to find information regarding the whereabouts of PKSMW aircraft are still being carried out," said Dadan, Friday afternoon, June 23.

Dadan explained that this plane reportedly departed from Elelim at 10:53 p.m. LT. However, it did not arrive on schedule at Poik at 11.06 p.m. LT.

Finally, the aircraft contact pilot driven by Capten Hari Permadi and co pilot Levi Murib was last contact at coordinates 03 52 43.67S 139 27 16.07E with an altitude of 6956FT.

Previously, the Head of the Class II Airport Organizing Unit (UPBU), Elelim Genos Imanuel, confirmed that there was an incident of missing contact with the plane carrying four passengers.
