GORONTALO - The police finally named and detained 11 suspects from 41 people who were arrested in a cockfighting gambling raid in Tenda Village, Hulonthalangang District, Gorontalo City, Gorontalo.

He explained that the 11 people who were named as suspects and had been detained, each with the initials MD (49), RN (46), AM (36), MN (50), JU (42), MD (42), DS (27), ED (25), RP (25), GR (25) and DP (28).

"So these suspects each have different roles, namely MD (49) as the organizer of cockfighting gambling, RN (46) and AM (36) became referees in the match, and the rest were players," he said.

In addition to determining the suspects to the 11 people, his party has also confiscated a number of evidences, including cash gambling bets, cars, motorcycles, ad chicken, chicken coops and cockfighting arenas.

"We detained the suspects and confiscated evidence in the form of cash, vehicles, complained chickens and their cages, to the arena where chicken is used as a place to compete," he said.

The suspects are threatened with being charged with articles on gambling, with the threat of imprisonment to criminal fines.

"These eleven people will be charged with Article 303 paragraph (1) 1, 2nd, 3rd, and (3) Criminal Code, Sub-Article 303 Bis paragraph (1) 1st and 2nd of the Criminal Code, with a maximum imprisonment of ten years or a fine," he said.
