Driven By PPP To Become Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate, Sandiaga Ready To Gather To Megawati

Chairman of the PPP Election Winning Sandiaga Uno stated that he was ready to stay in touch with the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri.

This was conveyed by Sandiaga, who is also the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) on the sidelines of the Kelana Nusantara event in Taman Jepun, Denpasar, Bali, Sunday, June 18.

"We'll see if there is an opportunity to stay in touch (with Megawati Soekarnoputri) of course, it must be used to build a polite political communication, mutual political communication," he said.

Sandiaga and Megawati are known to have both attended the opening of the Bali XLV Arts Festival in 2023 in front of the Bali People's Struggle Monument, Bajra Sandhi, Denpasar.

"Our task in the central government is to support PKB (Bali Arts Party) as part of one of the best and curated events that enter the Karisma Event Nusantara," he said.

According to Sandiaga, his visit to Bali focused on encouraging tourism and the creative economy. However, because in Bali, Megawati is currently also present, he also does not deny that there is an opportunity to stay in touch and build political communication with Megawati Soekarmoputri.

Not only building political communication that is polite and supportive of each other, said Sandiaga, but also political communication that can ensure that future economic leadership will be a priority to develop Indonesia in 2024.

"The focus is the same, namely employment opportunities, affordable prices for basic commodities and price stability because yesterday was inflation," he said.

Previously in the PPP VI National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas), Sandiaga was proposed to be the vice presidential candidate to accompany Ganjar Pranowo, who has officially been promoted by the PDI-P as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.
