Sandiaga's Heavy Task After Being Carried By PPP Will Be Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Election Winning Body of the United Development Party (PPP) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno admitted that he got a tough task after being promoted as a candidate for vice president to accompany PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 election.

"For the task given by Plt. The General Chairperson of PPP Muhamad Mardiono and the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) are Muslims who are tawadu of course innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. This is a very tough task," Sandiaga said at the PPP National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) VI at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 17.

Despite getting a tough task, Sandiaga ensured that PPP was at the forefront of realizing a prosperous, just and prosperous Indonesia.

Diaa will also create a democratic contestation that can benefit the Indonesian people.

"I want a lot of students at Islamic boarding schools that I meet not only looking for jobs, but can create jobs," he added.

According to Sandiaga, the task given by Plt. PPP General Chair Muhamad Mardiono is the same as the task given by Indonesian President Joko Widodo to him.

Sandiaga explained that at the end of 2022, he was appointed as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At that time, he continued, around 5 million jobs had to be lost. However, thanks to the hard work of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, it was able to create 2.6 million new jobs.

This is what makes Sandiaga confident in being able to carry out the tasks given by Mardiono.

Not only that, Sandiaga also guaranteed to continue the performance of President Jokowi's administration.

"Ensuring that the economy is maintained and the prices of basic commodities are affordable and the most important thing is how we go to a sustainable Indonesia gold which is green," said Sandiaga.

Previously, the DPP of the United Development Party (PPP) recommended the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as a candidate for vice president (cawapres) to accompany Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

This was conveyed by the Secretary General of the PPP DPP Muhamad Arwani Thomafi at the VI PPP National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Saturday (17/6).

"We will read out the recommendation of the 6th National Leadership Meeting regarding the presidential election that the United Development Party proposed Brother Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as a vice presidential candidate to accompany presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 General Election," said Arwani.
