Police Arrest Hundreds Of Thugs In Sukabumi, Dozens Of People Carry Sharp Weapons

SUKABUMI- Personnel from the Sukabumi Police Investigation and Criminal Unit (Satreskrim) and two local police officers arrested hundreds of thugs operating in the Sukabumi Regency, West Java, whose actions were very disturbing to the public.

"The arrest of 102 thugs in the jurisdiction of the Sukabumi Police is to provide a sense of security for the community, because various forms of thuggery cannot be justified, therefore we instruct all personnel who work within the Sukabumi Police and the police to eradicate all forms of thuggery," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Maruly Pardede as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 17.

According to Maruly, all personnel are instructed to increase supervision and security and do not hesitate to take firm action, let alone thuggery perpetrators to threaten public safety.

Sweeping the whereabouts of thugs will continue to be carried out to create a deterrent effect on anyone who commits acts of thuggery ranging from illegal parking, illegal levies to burglary.

Meanwhile, the Head of Unit I of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukabumi Police, IPDA Sapri, added that of several people suspected of committing violations such as the sale of limited hard drugs, they asked for money forcibly on the grounds of busking and other actions that disturbed residents.

Of the more than a hundred thugs arrested, dozens were proven to have committed crimes such as carrying sharp weapons and some even circulating illegal limited hard drugs.

They are currently still being investigated to develop this case. The suspected thugs found carrying illegal drugs were handed over to the Narcotics Unit of the Sukabumi Police.

His party also appealed to the public if they saw any acts of thuggery or even being victims, then immediately report to the police or the nearest security forces so that they can be handled quickly and the perpetrators are caught.
