Nataru Holiday Period, Minister Of Manpower Reminds Employment Norms

JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower Yassierli emphasized the importance of implementing labor norms to protect workers' rights while maintaining business continuity, including during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.

He also discussed with workers/laborers of the Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung to ensure that employment norms have been implemented properly.

"We must continue to maintain the employment norm and comply because it is the foundation for creating harmonious industrial relations, especially during busy times such as the Nataru holiday," Yassierli quoted Antara as saying.

He also highlighted the importance of ensuring compliance with labor regulations amid a surge in business activities during this holiday period.

"Although there is a density during holidays, we remind all parties to continue to comply with applicable regulations. This is to ensure the welfare of workers/laborers while at the same time supporting the company's productivity," he added.

Acting Director General of Manpower, Safety and Health Supervision (Binwasnaker and K3) of the Ministry of Manpower Fahrurozi said this working visit was carried out in the midst of crowds of community activities in entertainment venues and shopping centers.

The hotel location was chosen as one of the review sites because it is a popular tourist destination that employs many seasonal workers during the holiday period.

"So our presence is to ensure that the labor norm is guarded and actually implemented under any circumstances. Because that norm does not differentiate Nataru and not," he said.
