JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government continues thebeautification program through regional arrangement by planting trees and expanding green open spaces (RTH) to improve air quality in DKI.

"Essentially, we carry out activities to organize this area from an easy one. We function and make it more beautiful," said Acting Governor of DKI, Heru Budi Hartono while reviewing the arrangement of the area in Kuningan Timur Village, South Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

Heru explained, in addition to reducing vehicle pollution through electrification programs, green open space also has an important role in improving air quality.

"In addition to accelerating the use of electric motorcycles and cars as well as environmentally friendly fuels, we are trying to improve air quality with this area arrangement activity which also increases the number of green open spaces in Jakarta," said Heru.

According to Heru, structuring the area to create a healthy, green, and comfortable area for local residents has become the task of the village head in all areas of DKI Jakarta Province.

In addition to the Kuningan Timur Village area, Heru also visited Jalan Perintis to see the results of the arrangement that had been carried out by the kelurahan.

Previously, the condition of the sidewalks in the East Kuning Village area was not well maintained and crowded with street vendors (PKL). After the arrangement was carried out, the sidewalks were more neatly arranged, there were no more street vendors and garbage or rivers beside the sidewalks had been cleaned.

"I give encouragement to Mrs. Lurah. Previously here there were many street vendors. Then the arrangement was carried out, street vendors were moved to the places provided. Then, this road was arranged to be neater, healthier and cleaner. Later I hope it can increase again," said Heru when appreciating the Head of the East Kuningan Village.

The village head, said Heru, must be able to make a location that is still not neatly arranged in its area a clean, neat and beautiful area.

"Not only clean from garbage and tidied up, but also procedures by planting trees. Sidewalks are also tidied up. Yes, I ask the village not only one location, but it can add two or three locations," explained Heru.
