Authority Offers Mixed Land At IKN Nusantara To French Investors

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) offers mixed-use land in the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago to French investors.

"I think they are from all sides, not only investing in order to become investors but also become business people," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

Bambang said that in the location of the mixed land, a large shopping center will be built in 2024. Based on data from the Deputy for Funding and Investment of OIKN, currently in an area of 7.30 hectares, there are potential investors who are committed to investing. In total there are 71 clusters of mixed land for investors spread across the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).

The concept of mixed land is planned to minimize travel between regions and the provision of public facilities, such as schools and commercial areas that are sufficient for each region. This will allow each region to function independently and connected so as to allow high density and level of affordability.

Bambang invited the French Ambassador to Indonesia Fabien Penone and a number of delegations from the leadership of a French company to visit the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), on Monday (12/6). This visit is the first time a potential investor from Europe has visited IKN directly.

"Today I am the host of a group of companies, businessmen from France. This is the first stage of engagement or interest from French businessmen (to invest in IKN), around 20 entrepreneurs want to see directly in the field," he said.

He emphasized that this visit was not just a visit but would be realized in the form of investment in IKN. Delegations come from various industrial sectors such as energy, smart city technology, environmentally friendly materials, and others.

Not only visiting the Nusantara area, but the delegation of the French company also submitted a letter of intent (LOI) to OIKN through Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono. The LOI handover is the fourth to be submitted by France, out of a total of 223 LOIs that have been received.

Earlier I received a letter of intent from an energy company. So of our total of these 20 companies, we have received four letter of intent. In the future, we hope that other European countries are also interested," said Agung Wicaksono.

Meanwhile, Sinarmas LDA Maritime (SLM) President Director Matthieu Lavoine said the arrival of a French company delegation today aims to see firsthand the IKN development project in the field.

"To ensure that this project is realized, today we witnessed what happened so that we can report later to the head office about Indonesia's project and commitment to this big project," said Matthieu Lavoine.
