Gibran Talks About Cooperation Plan With Hyundai

Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka leaked plans for cooperation with South Korean company Hyundai.

"With Hyundai and us, we want to prepare for 50 years of Korean diplomatic relations with Indonesia. God willing, we can do it in Solo," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

Gibran visited South Korea last week. On his way to the country of Gingseng, Gibran was accompanied by his wife who is also the Chair of the Surakarta City PKK TP Selvi Ananda.

He said the event was planned to be held in September 2023. His party will also promote batik through products from the company.

"The Hyundai car launch with batik motif will be carried out in August 2023. September the event, yesterday everything was okay. I have met all the Hyundai leaders, everything is okay, the design has batik. It's really good, in the meantime," he said.

In addition to meeting a number of large companies in Korea, on that occasion he also met several Indonesians living in Korea, including XODIAC music group member Zayyan.

"Yesterday I met several. (The agenda, Red.) ate," he said.

Gibran also negotiated with the relevant agencies to participate in enlivening the 50th anniversary of Korean diplomatic relations with Indonesia.

"We are waiting for confirmation of everything," he said.
