JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno admitted that he was honored that his name was included as one of the exchanges for vice presidential candidates (cawapres) who would accompany Ganjar Pranowo's presidential candidate (candidate).

"Yes, I am honored to be part of the considerations of so many (names)," said Sandiaga as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 9.

However, compared to focusing on discussing the coalition, Sandiaga admitted that he would focus on contributing his thoughts to the future presidential candidates who would duet with him on various main issues in the community.

"Our leadership in the future will prioritize thinking other than economics, but also environmental sustainability, sustainable, this has escaped the discourse that has existed in the last few months, only talking about the coalition," he said.

For this reason, Sandiaga hopes that the contribution of his thoughts can be accepted by the nation's future leaders, including the presidential candidate from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo.

"Hopefully this will contribute to Mas Ganjar's candidacy. My thoughts can be accepted. That's my hope going forward," he said.

As previously reported, the Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani, revealed a number of names that were considered as candidates for vice-presidential candidates to accompany Ganjar Pranowo.

A number of candidates for Ganjar's companion are Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno, Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto.

"If I may mention, what is in the media is Mr. Mahfud, the name has been entered. Mr. Erick Thohir, Mr. Ridwan Kamil, Mr. Sandiaga Uno, Mr. AHY, sopo (who is) again Mas? Mr. Airlangga. Those names, yes, are included in the map in the PDI-P," said Puan at the PDI-P National Working Meeting (Rakernas) III in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/6).
