MALUKU - The Maluku Regional Police (Polda) formed a team of the Human Trafficking Crime Task Force (TPPO) in an effort to prevent and take action against syndicates of people trafficking perpetrators.

"This task force was formed as a follow-up to the direction of the National Police Chief to form a TIP Task Force at each Polda to prevent the occurrence of criminal acts of trafficking in persons, either sending migrant workers abroad or domestic TIPs," said Maluku Police Chief Inspector General Lotharia Latif in Ambon, Maluku, Wednesday, June 7, confiscated by Antara.

The TIP Task Force Team was immediately formed by the Maluku Police Chief. "Maluku also has the potential to occur in TIP, even though it is still local in the country," said Latif.

He said that several TIP cases were handled, there were a number of business sectors that still employed minors, and did not comply with the applicable rules or regulations.

"We hope that there should be no businesses that violate the provisions and that vulnerable sectors are entertainment businesses or companies that employ women and minors," he said.

Latif asked the Police Chiefs and their staff to carry out supervision and monitoring in the field, and to always coordinate with related agencies regarding the matter.

"If violations are found, law enforcement should be carried out. The legal process is firmly enforced by anyone involved, and no officers should also play with the case," he said.
