Kabareskrim Admits That There Is A Possibility Of The Flow Of Drug Funds To Political Parties

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, emphasized that he had never conveyed any statement regarding the alleged flow of drug illicit trafficking funds flowing into the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) fund.

"I have never, never conveyed that the flow of drug funds to political parties," Agus told reporters in Tangerang Regency, Friday, June 2.

However, he also did not deny the possibility of an alleged flow of illicit drug funds into the activities of the Political Party. Therefore, his party will carry out a mapping, in order to prevent a commotion.

"But let alone politics for terrorists, it can also be done, meaning that we map it for everything, not narcotics together to finance activities that undermine the safety of the country, let alone cause controversy," he concluded.

Previously, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, ordered the Directorate of Drug Crimes and his staff to be aware of and anticipate the phenomenon of narcotics, namely political involvement in drugs or political funds from drug networks.

"I ask all ranks of the Police drug investigation to start mapping and anticipating drug-related problems that can hinder the 2024 General Election," Agus said in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, May 26.

Meanwhile, on Monday, May 29, the Directorate of Drug Crimes (Dittipidnarkoba) and his staff mapped and anticipated illegal funds from illicit drug trafficking to flow in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) contestation.

Deputy Director of Narcotics Crime Kombes Pol. Jayadi in Jakarta said that from the results of the temporary mapping, no indication was found.

"That's why I said earlier to anticipate mapping the contestation plan in 2024. (The results) are not yet there," Jayadi said.
