A total of 10 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Bekasi Regency Government, West Java were sentenced to disciplinary violations over the past five months starting from January to May 2023.
Head of the Bekasi Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Abdillah Majid said the state civil apparatus violated Law Number 5 of 2014 regarding ASN.
"There are 10 ASNs who have been sanctioned so far this year. Some are mild as well, severe sanctions so far have not been available," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 31.
He said the disciplinary sanctions imposed by the local government were mostly caused by violations related to the presence of work in the office or speeding up.
His party claimed to have conveyed the violation to the leadership of the relevant regional apparatus to be given a warning so as not to repeat the same act again.
"For example, most of the cases are rarely signed, we have submitted them to the relevant agencies, then the head of the regional apparatus gives a warning to the employee concerned," he said.
Abdillah ensured that so far there have been no state civil servants within the Bekasi Regency Government who have been proven to have committed serious violations related to personnel discipline.
"There has been no serious violation of employees, such as openly practicing politics. If there is, it will be immediately subject to severe sanctions," he said.
He also advised all employees to be able to show their best performance as community servants who carry out every task properly and with full responsibility.
"Remember, employees when sworn in to take oaths to work according to their main duties and functions, serve the community optimally, including entering the office according to the rules of working hours," he said.
