The Ombudsman representing Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi) is processing terminal construction for its own interests (TUKS) which functions as the transportation of mining materials C in the Watusampu Village area, Ulujadi District, Palu City.

The head of the Central Sulawesi representative Ombudsman, Moh Iqbal Andi Magga, said that the alleged TUKS activity did not have a legal basis based on residents' reports.

"We went to the field to see firsthand the TUKS activities reported by the public because they were suspected of having defects in licensing procedures and mechanisms," said Iqbal in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Wednesday, May 31, confiscated by Antara.

Iqbal revealed that the process for the TUKS development problem, which is suspected of having no legal basis, began with fielding in Watusampu Village by involving the Palu City National Land Agency (BPN), Watusampu Village Head and local community leaders.

According to him, based on the information from the Watusampu Village Head, Maryani, that in the kelurahan there was never a reclamation permit, so it was very strange, if on the sea the Watusampu beach was issued a certificate which is the basis for obtaining a TUKS development permit.

Meanwhile, one of the youth figures from Watusampu Village, Dedi Irawan, said that the coastal area of Watusampu Village, which is currently one of the TUKS mining companies C, was previously a marine waters.

"With the TUKS, it raises a question mark from the public regarding the legality that is the basis for the construction of the C excavation terminal," he said.

"Behind my house, this is the sea, according to the certificate we have, but why is it now land for the port runway for the excavation port C," he said.

Therefore, he also suspects that the reclamation or issuance of land certificates in the waters of the Watusampu coast is suspected of violating the applicable legal procedures and provisions.

"As far as we know there has never been a reclamation permit in this village, and even if there is a certificate, we have never signed a boundary with the land owner for the basis for issuing the certificate," he said.

On this basis, the Head of ORI Representative for Central Sulawesi Iqbal said that his party would carry out further processes in accordance with the provisions of the law and authority of the Ombudsman.

"As a result of this field, we will follow up further according to the authority of the Ombudsman based on the prevailing laws and regulations," he said.
