JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has disbursed the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus education assistance and the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) phase 1 of 2023. The disbursement of KJP Plus and KJMU has been awaited by the public for some time.
The budget value for disbursing KJP Plus Phase I funds in 2023 is IDR 1.5 trillion, while the budget value for disbursing KJMU Phase I funds in 2023 is IDR 134 billion.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Syaefuloh Hidayat, explained that the KJP Plus program aims to support 12-year compulsory education programs, improve access to education services fairly and evenly, ensure certainty of obtaining education services, and improve the quality of services and quality of education results in the capital city.

"The KJP Plus Phase I Social Assistance Fund for 2023 has been disbursed on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, with the number of recipients as many as 664,936 students with details of SD/MI levels as many as 307,214, SMP/MTs level as many as 184,343, SMA/MA level as many as 64,486, SMK level as many as 107,027 and PKBM level as many as 1,866," he said.

Meanwhile, KJMU is given to students from underprivileged families who have a DKI NIK, and are registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and/or residents of social assistance for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service.

In Phase I of 2023, the number of KJMU students who received benefits was 14,966 people who were given assistance of Rp. 9 million per semester.
