"In addition, the defendant Indra Gunawan alias Igun and the defendant Syafii alias Pii (separate files) were fined Rp. 149,207,800.00. If they cannot pay, they will be replaced with 6 months in prison," said Chief Judge Immanuel Tarigan at the Medan District Court.
The panel of judges assessed that the two defendants violated Article 56 of Law Number 11 of 1995 as amended by Law Number 39 of 2007 concerning Excise which cost the state Rp74,603,900.00.
