JAKARTA - The SAR team is looking for a passenger on a motorbike that fell and disappeared by the current of the Lilin River, South Sumatra (Sumsel).

Head of the Palembang Basarnas Office, Herry Marantika, said the victim was a man named Al Fauzan, a resident of Banyuasin.

"The presence of the victim is currently still being searched," he said in Palembang, Tuesday, May 23, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the victim was reported missing and drowned by the current of the Candle River, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra.

Al disappeared after falling from the motorboat on his way back home, Monday, May 22, at around 22.00 WIB.

The search operation was intensified today, as many as one additional SAR team consisting of seven personnel from the Palembang Basarnas Office were deployed.

Previously, the SAR team had been deployed to the location moments after receiving reports of missing victims.

The SAR team conducted a search for the Lilin River equipped with search and rescue equipment, joining the potential SAR from BPBD and TNI/Polri in Musi Banyuasin Regency.

Support equipment for the search and rescue process includes rubber boats, engine boats, diving equipment, aqua eye, garmins fish finders, medical equipment, lighting, and communication.

He hoped that to support the smooth search for victims, the weather in the location was sunny so that the victim was found soon and the rescue team returned safely.
