West Sumatra Provincial Government Frees 1,541 Lands For Padang-Sicincin Toll Road

PADANG - The West Sumatra Provincial Government (West Sumatra) stated that the local National Land Agency has freed or completed 1,541 plots of land for the construction of the Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road, Padang-Sicincin Section for 36.15 kilometers.

"Overall there are 1,622 plots of land and we have completed 1,541 plots of land," said Deputy Governor of West Sumatra Audy Joinaldy in Padang as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.

Audy said that of the 1,622 plots of land, there were also 1,622 potential problems that had to be faced by the West Sumatra Provincial Government together with PT Hutama Karya and the National Land Agency (BPN).

"This means that there are potential 1,622 different problems," said the graduate of the Wageningen Universiteit Netherlands in the Major Food Quality Management Minor Animal Nutrition.

However, the West Sumatra Provincial Government continues to strive so that the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, which is a National Strategic Program (PSN), and is funded by the State Capital Participation (PMN), can be completed in 2024.

Audy said 81 plots of land or about five percent that had not been completed would continue to accelerate their settlement. For local governments, land that has entered the consignment stage is considered complete because it will be resolved by the court.

The Deputy Governor of West Sumatra ensured the availability of a budget to complete all unfree land parcels.

The budget, he said, is already available at the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN) under the auspices of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

Meanwhile, Project Director of PT Hutama Karya Persero Sri Hastuti Hardiningsih said the land needed for the construction of the Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road, especially the Padang-Sicincin section, is ready to be worked on.

"What can be constructed is 85 points 94 Mr. Deputy Governor," he said giving information to the Deputy Governor of West Sumatra.

The rest, some of the land is still constrained by administration until the problem of land acquisition has not been completed. Then, related to construction, to this day it has reached 37 points 9.

"For the physical ones that have become 4,200 meters," he said.
