Bareskrim Polri Will Set A Suspect Who Hides Fugitive Dito Mahendra

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri opens the opportunity for other suspects in the Dito Mahendra series of cases. Especially related to hiding suspects.

This is probably because there has been a police report (LP) made by investigators with the number LP/A/5/V/2023/SPKT.DITTIPIDUM/BARESKRIM POLRI dated May 20, 2023.

"Regarding hiding the suspect as stated in Article 221 of the Criminal Code," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro in his statement, Monday, May 22.

Investigators have conducted the LP case. As a result, it is believed that there was a criminal offense so that his status was upgraded to the investigation stage.

Currently, the investigation process is still being carried out to determine the suspect of the party who helped hide Dito Mahendra.

"Investigators have conducted an investigation and currently investigators are carrying out a case title and have agreed to raise this case to an investigation," he said.

In addition, investigators also believe that there are other suspects in the series of illegal gun holdings. The investigator's belief was after examining 5 witnesses who were household assistants (ART) Dito Mahendra.

Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police had searched two houses belonging to Dito Mahendra. As a result, dozens of ammunition was confiscated.

The first search was carried out at the house of Taman Brawijaya III Street, North Cipete. A passport book was found in the name of Mahendra Dito Sapurno with the number C9139533 which is valid until May 27, 2027.

Then, a pistol-type airsoft with the number WET5168 made in Taiwan, one box with a Cbot Gun firearm, 45 GUNs SN CGC1144, and one cell phone.

Meanwhile, the evidence found at the house of Jalan Intan, RSPP Cilandak Barat in the form of an airsoft gun in the black Wingmaster Model 870 which is equipped with a black magazine.

There were also 29 rounds of lapua caliber 7.62 x 39 mm, 25 bullets of MU1-TJ caliber 9x19 mm, 24 bullets in a black box that reads ELEY, one black light brand night evolution, one performance pistol barrel clock swenson black, one black city containing five bullet casings, one ID card in the name of Dito Mahenda.
