Kejari Lumpahkan Tersangka Korupsi Relokasi SMPN 1 Wates Ke Pengadilan Tipikor Yogyakarta

KULON PROGO - Kulon Progo District Attorney, Yogyakarta Special Region, has delegated allegations of corruption cases in irregularities in the construction of the relocation building of SMP Negeri I Wates to the Yogyakarta District Court, over suspects S and J.

Head of the Kulon Progo District Attorney's Office, Ardi Suryanto, said that the two suspects were handed over to the Yogyakarta District Court, namely the Director of CV Bintang Abadi, which is based in Sleman S and the construction work unit for SMP Negeri I Wates J.

"Suspect J is being held at the Wirogunan Prison in Yogyakarta and S is being held at the Wonosari Women's Prison," Ardi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.

He said the first trial of the alleged corruption case was irregularities in the construction of the relocation building of SMP Negeri I Wates on Thursday (25/5) at the Yogyakarta District Court.

"The inaugural trial will be held on Thursday (25/5) with an agenda for reading the prosecutor's demands," he said.

Ardi said the chronology of the alleged corruption case in the construction of the relocation building of SMP Negeri I Wates began with non-compliance with technical specifications.

"There are deficiencies, and after being audited there is a volume shortage with a loss of Rp. 106 million. There are also specifications that are not being worked on," he said.

He said the Kulon Progo Kejari had examined 16 witnesses and three expert witnesses. The total number of witnesses examined was 19 people.

"The witnesses being examined are related parties who are aware of the incident," he said.

Until today, there are still two suspects. The new suspect is still waiting for the progress of the case at trial.

"We will see developments, if there is a connection in the trial, the parties who receive the flow of funds will be determined again," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Education, Youth and Sports Agency (Disdikpora) Aris Prastowo admitted that he was aware of one of the ASN in the Disdikpora environment with the initials J who was detained in the alleged corruption crime in the construction of the relocation building for SMP Negeri I Wates.

He said J had been dismissed from the administrator position at the Kulon Progo Disdikpora.

"In this regard, the district government will immediately assign the acting official (Plt) to the position of Head of the Junior High School Development Division," he said.
