Many Irregularities In The Sales Of Coldplay Concert Tickets, Bareskrim Conducts Investigations

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police conducted an investigation to investigate allegations of fraud at the sale of online tickets for British band concerts, Coldplay.

"We are conducting an investigation to investigate the alleged fraud that occurred," said the Director of Cyber Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Adi Vivid A Bactiar, quoting Antara, Thursday, May 18.

According to Vivid, the alleged fraud was detected by his party through the Cyber Patrol carried out by the Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri.

"We heard and found that there were allegations of online ticket sales fraud Coldplay through the results of the Cyber Patrol," he said.

Based on these findings, Vivid continued, his party conducted an investigation to investigate the allegation.

Even so, Vivid appealed to the people who were victims to officially report to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, so that the case could be handled optimally.

"We urge people to become victims to immediately make official reports so that we can handle them optimally," he said.

To prevent the fraud, said Vivid, his party will also invite an official ticket sales service provider for questioning.

"It will invite official ticket sales service providers to get information in support of the disclosure of alleged online ticket fraud," he said.

As previously reported, it has not been 10 minutes since the pre-sale ticket for Coldplay concerts in Jakarta began, the queue for ticket purchases is full.

Purchase of pre-sale tickets for the Jakarta Coldplay concert through the official website starts at 10:00 for payment via BCA. The pre-sale ticket takes effect on May 17-18.

Meanwhile, the sale of Coldplay Jakarta tickets to the public will take place from May 19 at 10.00 WIB.

The Coldplay 'Music of The Spheres World Tour 2023' concert in Jakarta will take place at the Bung Karno Stadium on November 15.

Tickets are sold starting from Rp800 thousand for the cheapest category to the Ultimate Exprience category of Rp11 million. This price does not include a 15 percent tax, five percent service fees and other costs. Coldplay concert on November 15 will be the band's first appearance from Great Britain in Jakarta.
