22 Families Of Fire-affected Victims In Tangerang Refuge In Musala

TANGERANG - As many as 82 people from 22 families (KK) who were affected by the fire at the used oil storage area and plastic waste in RT/RW 07/01, Bencongan Village, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, took refuge in the prayer room.

"Currently, residents affected by the fire have fled to the Al-Istiqomah Mushalla, which is also still one neighborhood of RW 01," said RT 07 Chairman Isad as quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 18.

He said the dozens of people who had now functioned were residents of several burned stalls.

"So, this victim is the resident of the stall, if the surrounding residents are not affected," he said.

He said residents who currently lost their homes needed assistance in the form of clothes and food for consumption.

"Now the condition of the residents needs assistance in the form of clothes and food. If there is assistance, we will be ready to accept it," he said.

He also said that the fire at the used oil and plastic stalls located in the densely populated residential area occurred Wednesday (17/5) at around 18.48 WIB.

Residents learned that the incident began when they heard an explosion that was thought to have come from a pile of used oil cans in the stall.

Not long after, he continued, the fire immediately appeared and flared up all areas of the used goods shelter area.

"This fire point is indeed an area where the contents are residents who accommodate used oils, maybe that's what makes the fire spread quickly," he said.

Knowing this, he immediately reported it to the local Fire Department so that it could be handled immediately.

According to him, there were no fatalities in the unfortunate incident. However, three residents who lived in the area of the used oil shelter were injured.

"I arrived at the location of the fire at around 21.00 WIB and at that time the fire had started to extinguish or it was not big anymore," he said.
