KY Waits For KPK's Official Announcement Regarding Hasbi Hasan's Status Before Conducting An Ethics Examination

The Judicial Commission (KY) is waiting for an official announcement from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the determination of the suspect Secretary of the Supreme Court Hasbi Hasan before undergoing an ethical examination of the MA official. Spokesperson for the Indonesian Judicial Commission, Miko Ginting, said that his institution followed and respected Hasbi Hasan's law enforcement process at the KPK. KY's “ Ethical process, including the examination of the person concerned, will follow the ongoing law enforcement process at the KPK. KY will not grassak-grusuk because we must respect the ongoing process at the KPK,” Miko Ginting said in a written broadcast received in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, May 12. He said that so far the KPK had not officially announced the latest status of MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan. “KY respects the law enforcement process and will wait for the official exposure process from the KPK. To this day, as is known, no official exposure has been carried out by the KPK,” he said. He explained that the official exposure aims to provide a general explanation regarding the construction of criminal acts and the alleged role of the party designated as a suspect. "This “Information is useful for KY in seeing if there are aspects of ethics and behavior that become KY domains," he said. He said Hasbi Hasan, the Secretary of the Supreme Court, was a judge so that he became one of the objects of supervision by the Indonesian Judicial Commission. "If it is true that the person concerned has been named a suspect, and there is preliminary evidence that there has also been an ethical violation, then KY will carry out an ethical examination of the person concerned. This ethical process will be a series of ethical processes that have previously been carried out by KY on this series of cases,” he said. Several KPK officials as quoted by a number of national media confirmed the determination of the suspect MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan this week. However, the KPK has not yet held an exposure or press conference regarding the determination of the suspect. The KPK previously examined Hasbi Hasan as a witness in the alleged bribery case at the Supreme Court with the inactive Supreme Court Judge Gazalba Saleh (GS). The KPK has confiscated a number of documents from Hasbi related to the staffing administration of the suspect GS and his friends. In this case, KPK investigators have named 15 suspects in the alleged bribery case handling in the Supreme Court. They are inactive Judicial Judge Edy Wibowo, inactive Supreme Court Justice Gazalba Saleh, inactive Judicial Judge Prasetio Nugroho, and Redhy Novarisza as Gazalba Saleh staff. The other suspects are the inactive Supreme Court Justice Sudrajat Dimyati, the inactive Judicial Judge or Registrar in Lieu of Elly Tri Pangestu (ETP), two state civil servants (ASN) of the Supreme Court Desy Yustria (DY) and Muhajir Habibie (MH), as well as two ASN at MA Nurmanto Akmal (NA), and Albasri (AB).

Then, lawyers Yosep Parera (YP) and Eko Suparno (ES) as well as debtors of the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative Heryanto Tanaka (HT), debtors of the Ivan Dwi Kusuma Sujanto Savings and Loans Cooperative (IDKS), and the latest suspects are the Chairman of the Sandi Karsa Makassar Hospital Foundation, Wahyudi Hardi (WH).
