The Malang Resort Police, East Java, investigated the case of the death of two residents of Karangploso District, Malang Regency, who are suspected of having consumed adulterated liquor. Malang Police Public Relations Officer Iptu Ahmad Taufik said the police were still investigating the case, although until now there has not been a report from the victim's family. "Until now there are no reporters because the family is still in a state of shock. However, we picked up the ball for further processing," said Taufik as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.Taufic explained that the two victims who died allegedly due to consuming adulterated liquor were AFA(29) and AS (34), both residents of Lesss Hamlet, Ngijo Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency. In addition to two people who died, the consumption of adulterated liquor also resulted in one resident of Lesssun having to undergo medical treatment at a health service facility, while the other two people were still undergoing treatment at home. "Three other people are still undergoing treatment, one at the hospital and two are at home. While one other person (who is suspected of consuming adulterated) liquor is in good health," he said. According to information, the case occurred at around 16.00 WIB when a number of people had an adulterated liquor party at the entrance area of Dusun Leses's grave, Ngijo Village. After drinking the liquor, the six people then returned to their respective homes.

The next day, the victim with the initials AFA and AS was still conscious and could carry out daily activities. However, in the afternoon, the two of them suddenly fainted and were then taken to a health care facility for treatment. "The victim was treated at a hospital, but was not helped and later died. Both were buried this Wednesday at the Dusun Less Cemetery," he said. In addition, officers are also searching for evidence around the location of the liquor party.
