DKI Transportation Agency Collaborates With Police To Take Illegal Parking In Monas Area

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is collaborating with the Central Jakarta Police to curb and crack down on illegal parking in the Monas area, Central Jakarta.

"The Central Jakarta Police Chief has ordered his members to support us in controlling those who organize illegal parking," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, at DKI Jakarta City Hall, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.

Some time ago, officers from the Transportation Service (Dishub) were attacked and injured in his hand by a parking attendant in the Monas area.

Syafrin said the parking attendant who injured his members had been handled by the Gambir Metro Police and detained.

During the incident, there were about ten illegal parking attendants in action around Monas.

"The illegal fire at Monas has been handled by colleagues at the Gambir Police and then the person concerned has been detained," said Syafrin.

A similar incident occurred on Jalan Minangkabau, Manggarai on Tuesday (9/5). At that time at around 9.00 WIB, a parking violator bit the arm of a South Jakarta Transportation Service officer so that the perpetrator had to be arrested by other personnel on duty.

"When members got into the car to carry the vehicle, they were immediately bitten on the arm, but the car was still being dealt with," South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Operations Control Section Head Emiral August told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Emiral explained that initially an officer of the South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. with the initials R controlled vehicles parked carelessly on bicycle lanes.

Then, the car driver who was known to be eating from the shop immediately got into the car to escape by resigning.

However, it turned out that he could not back down because there was a motorbike parked behind him.

On the other hand, in front of the driver's car who works as an online taxi, there is already a car from the South Jakarta Transportation Agency that has prepared to tow.

"Our members approached, meaning that they wanted to turn off the machine first by first inviting the driver to talk," he added.

However, according to him, because the driver's emotions had been ignited, the driver immediately bit the officer's arm.
