SEMARANG - Police said the body of a man found in a concrete casting at a water refill on Jalan Mulawarman Raya, Tembalang, Semarang City, Monday, was a victim of mutilation.

"After being excavated for evacuation, the victim was suspected of being mutilated before being cast by concrete," said Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.

According to him, the victim's body was found in four parts, namely cut off his right hand, left hand, and head.

From the results of the examination, he said, the victim was identified as Irwan Hutagalung who was the owner of the water refill.

The police themselves, he continued, are still examining witnesses, including the victim's family.

In addition, according to him, investigators are still investigating the possibility of lost valuables belonging to the victim.
