MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko Regency Government, Bengkulu Province will continue to budget grants for political parties worth more than IDR 550 million in 2023. This amount is the same as the previous year. "The budget for such a large grant is for 11 political parties. The political party funds are still worth more than IDR 550 because there is no provision for additional grant funds from the government," said Acting Head of the National Unity and Political Agency of Mukomuko Jumaidi Regency in Mukomuko, quoted from Antara, Monday, May 8. A total of 11 political parties that had representations in the local DPRD previously proposed an increase in grant funds from Rp5,495 per valid vote to Rp15.000 per valid vote. Then the local government team verified the proposed grant funds and it was set at Rp. 11,000 per valid vote. Then the results of the determination from the local government team were submitted to the provincial government and from the proposal of Rp. 11,000 per valid vote approved by the provincial government of Rp. 10,000 per valid vote. He said that although the provincial government had approved the proposed increase in grant funds for political parties, the increase in the budget for grants for political parties could not be realized using the existing funds. "It is possible that we will propose additional grant funds for political parties in this year's revised APBD," he said. Regarding the disbursement of grant funds for political parties, he said his party was still waiting for the report on the results of the examination (LHP) of the BPK RI.
