JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Class 1 Detention Center or Salemba Detention Center has tightened the security of face-to-face visitor kites with a number of security systems.
This was done in anticipation of the escape of correctional inmates (WPB) or prisoners when the visit service was opened.
The fingerprint checking security system for visitors to the Salemba Rutan is still a top security priority. Fingerprint checking is considered capable of ensuring and verifying visitor data.
"In the beginning, in front of the ID card verification, there was also a geometric check in fingerprint registration because everyone has different fingerprints. If there are families and twin WBPs, their fingerprints are not necessarily the same," said Head of the Class 1 Detention Center of Central Jakarta, Fauzi Harahap when confirmed, Sunday, April 23.
After registering, the family entered the examination area by handing over the identity card (KTP) at the initial security post. Then the visitors will be checked for fingerprints, given an ultraviolet stamp and a special bracelet for visitors.
"Visitors are branded with a UV stamp with random images every day, so they are not readable and follow the sample of the stamps that we make, the colors are also different. Then visitors are checked for fingerprints, given a bracelet using a static cable. So there are 3 security guards there," he said.
After visitors finish visiting their family's WBP, when they are about to leave the Salemba Rutan, the visitors will be examined in the same way when they enter.
"So when he comes out he has to verify the data again, if he doesn't fit out he can't (exit). We use that system, because everyone has different fingerprints," he explained.
Previously, face-to-face services for the families of visitors to correctional inmates (WBP) or inmates of Class 1A Central Jakarta Detention Center or Salemba Detention Center were still open on Sunday, April 23. Today is the last limit for visits for nuclear families who will meet with WBPs.
