First Day Of Eid, 56 KPK Prisoners Visited By Families And Relatives In Detention Centers

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the suspects at the detention center were visited by their families and relatives during the first Eid al-Fitr moment, Saturday, April 22. Some of them are visited offline and online.

"A total of 56 detainees received this visit, with details of 48 prisoners receiving face-to-face and 8 detainees receiving them online," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Sunday, April 23.

Ali then detailed that 144 families and relatives of detainees came to the KPK Detention Center. However, this number can still increase because the visit facilities are still open today, Sunday, April 23.

For families who want to visit the suspect, they can come to the KPK Detention Center from 10.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB.

Of course there are a number of rules that must be obeyed, such as registering; only nuclear families are allowed to visit, including grandparents, parents, wives or husbands, children; only three people can; and including a third vaccine certificate and being declared negative for COVID-19.

As for those who want to send food, it can be done since morning. Ali said, receiving food for prisoners will be opened at 07.30 WIB.

"The family visit facility for detainees on Eid al-Fitr is a form of respect for the KPK for basic human rights in the process of enforcing the law on corruption," he concluded.
