Defense Minister Prabowo Defines Eid Al-Fitr As Momentum For Self-Introspection

Prabowo interprets this holiday as a day of victory with various positive things. Prabowo said this after carrying out the Eid prayer at the Al Azhar Grand Mosque, South Jakarta.

"Yes, this is worship, the sermon also said that we are fasting, detoxifying, self-control, there are many meanings," Prabowo said in a statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Saturday, April 22.

In addition, according to Prabowo, Eid al-Fitr is also a momentum to get closer to Allah SWT, while improving the quality of the heart and mind.

"Getting closer to the Almighty, surrendering, tawakal, humble, introspective, I think there are a lot of them," he said.

After performing the Eid prayer, Prabowo received an enthusiastic response from the community. Prabowo then chatted with the surrounding community after the prayers were completed.

He also continued the Eid agenda by gathering with his extended family at his home and continuing his journey to Solo, Central Java.

Previously, Prabowo congratulated Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri to all Muslims in Indonesia. He invited the public to welcome Indonesia's better future.

"I Prabowo Subianto say, happy Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah minal aidzin wal faidzin, apologize born and inner. Let us welcome a better tomorrow, Indonesia continues to advance, a safe, just and prosperous Indonesia," Prabowo said in a video uploaded by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense's YouTube, Friday, April 21.
