Ganjar Pranowo Encourages Free Homecoming By Ship For Motorcyclists To Become Routine: Safe And Comfortable

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo together with Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, welcomed the travelers who arrived at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. In total, there were 1,100 passengers and around 400 motorcycles, which were transported by KM Dobonsolo from Jakarta.

"We see that the travelers from Pelni have docked. There are 1,100 passengers and 400 vehicles that have already disembarked," said Ganjar, while welcoming free travelers by ship.

Ganjar Pranowo arrived at Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang at around 08.00 WIB. Before welcoming the travelers, Ganjar also greeted the passengers who were about to leave for Kalimantan.

About 15 minutes later, KM Dobonsolo began to dock and dock at the Tanjung Emas port pier.

The passengers who saw Ganjar's figure immediately cheered to call the name of the white-haired governor. The screams of passengers from the ship were greeted by the greeting from Ganjar Pranowo who also waved towards the ship. Once passengers started getting off the ship, Ganjar then approached and greeted one by one the residents who had just arrived from the observation.

"Where are you going? Bring a motorbike? Be careful," said Ganjar greeting the travelers, Monday, April 17.

Ganjar also gave gifts of toys and bottled drinks to children who took part in the boat. When met by Ganjar Pranowo, he seemed happy to radiate on the faces of the travelers. A travelers named Giyanto, even had the opportunity to talk and joke with Ganjar Pranowo.

"Alhamdulillah, we chatted with those who joined, it felt very happy," he said.

According to Ganjar, the free homecoming program for motorbikes on ships is very good. He hopes that the following year it will be held again, considering that this program provides security and comfort for travelers who carry motorbikes.

"I hope that those who board the ship get incentives. First, it's free. Second, if you are carrying a motorcycle, it's actually a lot safer. After all, during the trip it's also comfortable, you can eat, clean toilets. Riding a boat is an alternative for those who want to go home in groups. If I'm not mistaken, tomorrow there will be a warship that can be used," said Ganjar.

Meanwhile, monitoring the flow on the homecoming route, the increase in vehicle volume has started to appear. At least, as of Sunday morning, it was observed that the volume of vehicles entering Central Java had increased by 60 percent compared to the usual day. For Ganjar, that's good because it will reduce the accumulation of vehicles at the peak of homecoming which is expected to occur on April 19, 2023.

"Tomorrow morning, the Kapolda will hold a big rally to hold troops to prepare for repatriation or homecoming later. Now the team is already in the field. Including in districts/cities we ask the regents and mayors to help. Yesterday, we went around sharing tasks, the Kapolda checked all traffic routes, I tried to check on spilled markets, including tourist attractions. God willing, they all prepared themselves well," he said.

Ganjar hopes that the 2023 Lebaran homecoming can really run smoothly, safely, and memorablely. Therefore, readiness in homecoming services, starting from the post, to the cleanliness of supporting facilities is very important.

In fact, Ganjar some time ago has gathered rest area managers, in order to maintain cleanliness and provide the best service.

"We remind travelers not to spill, so we ask for rest areas to add temporary waste shelters, so that they can be managed properly. Hopefully everything goes smoothly," said Ganjar.
