Bareskrim Polri Names Dito Mahendra As Suspect Of Illegal Firearms Ownership

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri has named Mahendra Dito Sampurno alias Dito Mahendra as a suspect in the case of alleged illegal firearms (senpi) possession. This determination is based on the results of the case title.

"Raised Dito Mahendra's status from witness to suspect," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandani when confirmed, Monday, April 17.

The title of the case for determining the suspect involved several divisions within the National Police. The aim is that there are no administrative errors in the investigation step.

"Today investigators have held a case title, which was attended by representatives of Itwasum, Divkum, Propam, and Wasidik," said Djuhandani.

Dito Mahendra was recorded as absent twice on the examination agenda. In fact, Bareskrim suspected he was hiding somewhere.

Allegedly Dito Mahendra is hiding because until now there has been no information regarding the history of the crossing which states that he has left Indonesia or so on.

Thus, the investigation team continues to look for information and clues about his whereabouts.

"Not running away. But maybe hiding," said Djuhandani.

Dito Mahendra is suspected of having 9 illegal guns. The case handled by Bareskrim Polri has also gone up to the investigation stage. The weapons that were declared illegal included Glock 17 pistols, S&W revolvers, Glock 19 Zev pistols, and Angstatd Arms pistols.

Then, Noveske Refleworks rifles, AK 101, Heckler & Koch G 36 rifles, Heckler & Koch MP 5 pistols, and Walther air rifles.

In this case, Dito Mahendra is threatened with life imprisonment or 20 years. Dito can be charged with Emergency Law number 12 of 1951.
