Novel Baswedan Reveals Firli's Behavior When He Was Deputy For KPK Enforcement: Frequent Photos Of Case Exposure Secret Documents

JAKARTA - Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Novel Baswedan revealed that KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri was once caught capturing classified documents related to the exposure of a case. This moment occurred when he was Deputy for KPK Enforcement during Agus Rahardjo's leadership.

"When I became Deputy for Enforcement at the KPK, I remember Firli Bahuri when following the exposure... he often took photos of news or classified exposure documents," Novel told reporters, Monday, April 10.

Firli kemudian diduga memberikan dokumen itu ke pihak berperkara. Sehingga, Novel menduga upaya membocorkan dokumen bukan pertama kali terjadi.

"This leak has already been at the level of obstructing the investigation. Of course I see this more in a criminal manner," he said.

The alleged leak of this investigation document was crowded in public after a search at the ESDM Ministry office was carried out on March 27. Based on information circulating, the leaked file contained the suspect's name and the alleged article.

Even so, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has denied any leakage of investigation files. The case at the ministry relates to allegations of corruption in performance allowances.

"No (KPK investigation documents) were found in the room of the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. That is not true. Never received documents or anything as intended, as circulated in the mass media," said the Head of the Communications Bureau, Public Information Service, and Cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Agung Pribadi to the media, Saturday, April 8.

Similarly, the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, also denied the leakage of the investigation file. "It's not true what the allegations are," he said on Wednesday, April 5.

Even so, Ali invited the public to complain about the matter if they did have valid evidence. Complaints can be submitted to the KPK Supervisory Board.
