PPKM Removed, Christians In Bandarlampung Celebrate Easter With More Khusyuk

JAKARTA - A number of Christians in Lampung Province said that the 2023 Easter service was more solemn, because there were no more restrictions by the government.

"This year, the worship is much more solemn, there are no restrictions, so I'm not afraid of what else," said one Christian in Lampung Wulan, in Bandarlampung, Sunday as quoted by Antara.

According to him, the good atmosphere of worship in the church started from Thursday, Easter to Easter, because many congregants attended.

"The atmosphere in the church is also more pronounced. Hopefully there will be no more restrictions in the future," he said.

Another Lampung resident, Alvian Dendra, revealed that the sloping of the pandemic was a blessing for himself in the implementation of this year's Easter service.

"This year it will be easier for me to have sex with others," he said.

In fact, he continued, worship at the church can be more solemn because the congregation can follow every series of activities that run smoothly.

"Likewise, outdoor activities such as banquets of love, holding competitions for children and various other activities that went smoothly and the family atmosphere that was obtained was much more pronounced," he said.

Based on observations, a number of churches in Lampung Province held worship at the peak of Easter, in Bandarlampung it was seen that hundreds of Christians were swept away in worship, such as the Cathedral Church of Christ Raja Tanjungkarang and Queen of Peace.
