KENDARI - The Kendari National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has evacuated three GT 5 passengers who experienced engine failures around the Upper Batu Waters of South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
Acting Head of the Kendari Basarnas Office, Rudi, said the ship's passengers were evacuated safely by the Baubau SAR Post Rescue Team.

The Rescue Team of the Baubau SAR Post using RB 210 sat to find the victims, about 16 nautical miles southeast of the accident site or where their ship had an engine failure.
Basarnas said the evacuated victims were Arvani (50), Ardiani (31), and Fifi Jufri (47). The three were male and were residents of Kaledupa District, Wakatobi Regency.
Previously, on Monday (3/4) the GT 5 ship carrying the three victims sailed from Bonerate, Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi Province to Kaledupa Island in Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
