PALEMBANG - The Investigation Team of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Sumsel) searched the office of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) in the context of investigating cases of alleged corruption in the disbursement of deposits and grant funds for the 2021 fiscal year.

"All the files confiscated this afternoon are important to complete the investigation process for alleged corruption in the South Sumatra KONI," said Head of the Investigation Section of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, Khaidirman, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 30.

He explained that the search process for the South Sumatra KONI Office on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Palembang took place carefully, transparently and proportionally.

Khaidirman ensured that none of the rooms in the two-story office had escaped examination by the investigative team and were witnessed directly by the top leadership of the local KONI.

There, for more than an hour the team of investigating prosecutors confiscated every file that could be used as evidence related to the case of disbursement of deposits and grant funds for the 2021 fiscal year.

"Each of the files was immediately brought by a team of investigating prosecutors to the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's office for study," he added.
