"It has been repaired since last night. We will give a'readymix' cor," said West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., Purwanti Suryandari, Antara, Tuesday, March 14.
Purwanti said the work had been carried out since Monday, March 13 night so as not to interfere with road users' activities during peak hours.
The work is carried out by contractors appointed by the government in installing pipes in the ground.
With this work, Purwanti ensured that the asphalt conditions returned to normal and the road could be used as usual.
Asphalt at the location of the landslide is estimated to be one meter deep by forming a circle of two meters in diameter. The asphalt landslides are thought to be due to frequent rainwater.
"There was a 'jacking' process there because it had been raining for the last few days. So, the water was eroded and then landslides," said Purwanti.
"Jacking" is a method of installing pipes by drilling the ground beneath the road using a hydraulic engine.
Purwanti admitted that at that location, eight meters of land drilling was being carried out to enter the water channel pipe.
Asphalt near the drilling site is often hit by rainwater, causing asphalt to landslide.
