Potential For Different Presidential Candidates To Break Coalition, PAN Affirms KIB Will Have One Voice Of Paslon Name In A Special Forum

JAKARTA - PAN rejected the statement by the Chairman of the Advisory Council of PPP M Romahurmuziy or Rommy regarding the potential for division in the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) regarding different support for presidential candidates (candidates).

Deputy Chairperson of PAn Viva Yoga Mauladi said the coalition consisting of Golkar, PPP and PAN was still solid together to win the 2024 presidential election. "KIB, God willing, will not be divided, it will not be broken. KIB remains solid and compact. There is historical awareness and equality of ideals that unite KIB," said Viva to VOI, Thursday, March 9. As for the difference in proposals for the name of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, said Viva, it will be agreed together in a special forum for internal KIB meetings. "(Cress-cawapres) was decided at the KIB meeting. Later every KIB member will propose a candidate at the KIB meeting. Then it was determined collectively, deliberation and consensus, no voting," explained Viva. Regarding when the meeting was held, Viva asked the public to be patient. He said, nature was informed if the KIB meeting would be held.

"Yes, it will be informed later," he said. Viva added, PAN is not worried about PPP communicating with PDIP. According to him, this is actually good to increase the strength of KIB in winning the 2024 presidential election. "If PPP and KIB will cooperate or join the PDI-P, it is certain that whoever the candidate pair will be promoted in the 2024 presidential election has the potential to get great support and win the competition in the presidential election," he said.

Previously, Rommy said the reason KIB was prone to breaking was due to differences in the names of presidential candidates from the Golkar, PPP, and PAN coalitions.

"Today in Pak Airlangga's position, he was pushed until yesterday to become a presidential candidate, Mr. Zul said Mr. Ganjar (presidential candidate)," said Rommy, in a discussion, Wednesday, March 8. Meanwhile, PAN proposed the Governor of Central Java who is also a PDIP cadre, Ganjar Pranowo. Meanwhile, PPP has not yet submitted a name.

"That alone can be said that the potential is broken, there are only two that don't need PPP. PPP hasn't given a name, that's just not found," he said.
